Izenasan Forest Park, a sanctuary for nature walks with a view of Iejima and Yoronjima
Mt. Izena Forest Park is a superb place to enjoy the natural beauty of Izena Island. The walking trail stretches across the entire Mt. Izena area, with observation decks set up in various places along the way to the top, offering a panoramic view of the entire island. On a clear day, you can even see Iejima and Yoronjima! You can also walk along the historic Samure Road that connects the ruins of the castle and the Meikari family of Izena village, and enjoy a moment of healing in nature while gazing at the Ryukyu pine trees and the beautiful sea of Izena. Taking a relaxing break at a pavilion is also recommended.
