Miorisho Churauijin is a sightseeing spot on Tatami Rock, located on the southern slope of Mt. At this place, there is a legend of a tragic love between Makate, a beautiful woman from Iejima, and Matsukane, a beautiful young man from Izena Island. It is said that Makate went across the sea to her beloved Matsukane and wove a beautiful cloth here to express her love for him. The crystal-clear coral sea stretches out below, and the spectacular view can be enjoyed along with the afterglow of the legend, making this a romantic spot unique to Izena Island.
