What is Izena Island?
Izena Island is a small, remote island located north of the main island of Okinawa with a population of approximately 1,000. This compact island, with a circumference of about 16 km, is a special place with unspoiled nature and a rich history of the Ryukyu Dynasty.
It takes about one hour by ferry from Unten Port in northern Okinawa Prefecture. Izena Island is a remote island rich in nature, surrounded by blue skies and cobalt blue waters.
