Sales Begin for Selected Designs of the “Izena Castle Ruins Castle Seal” and “Izena Tamagoten Historical Seal”
The Izena Island Tourism Association, a general incorporated association, is working to widely promote the historical and cultural charms of Izena Island,
To create the “Izena Castle Ruins Castle Seal” and the “Izena Tamagoten Historical Seal,” we invited villagers to submit designs for the calligraphy to be printed on the seals.
We would like to announce the results.
The calligraphy selected for the castle seals and historical seals on this occasion
Castle Seal: “Izena Castle Ruins”

Works by Masako Irei, a resident of Aza Izena, Izena Village
Historical Marker: “Izena Tamagoten”

In addition, the works that were unfortunately not selected for the Grand Prize are on display in front of the Tourism Association at Nakata Port Terminal.
The details of the recruitment are as follows:
- Calligraphy piece featuring the title "Izena Castle Ruins"
- Calligraphy piece featuring the title “Izena-tama Palace”
- Any calligraphy style (Kaisho, Gyosho, Sosho, Reisho, creative calligraphy, etc.)
- Each person may submit up to one entry per theme.
Eligibility Requirements
Individuals who are registered as residents of Izena Village and who live, work, or attend school there
*There are no restrictions on age or calligraphy experience.

- Limited to original, unpublished works

Awards
Grand Prize (One entry per title)
The winning entries will be used as the calligraphy for the “Izena Castle Ruins Castle Seal” and the “Izena Tamagoten Historical Seal.”
Announcement of Results
Around July 21, Reiwa 8 (tentative)
We will notify the winners directly and announce the results on the Tourism Association’s website, social media, and other platforms.
