Traditional Ceremony] Kouji Nu Shi Ming Festival (Kouji Nu Shi Mee)

Seimyosai (Seimy Festival), held in spring throughout Okinawa, is an important custom in which families and relatives gather at gravesites to express their gratitude to their ancestors.

そんな中、伊是名島で最初に行われるのが「公事清明祭（クージヌシーミー）」。これはもともと歴史ある王家の行事で、現代では伊是名村が主催して執り行う、島にとって最も格式の高い儀式です。
